In the context of the coronavirus epidemic and given the importance of the safety of Chinese UTSEUS students living in France, and in addition to the adopted regulatory measures (Working continuity plans then return to work plans, see details and links at the end of the article) by the host institutions - mainly Universities of Technology (UTBM, UTC, UTT) - two video-conferences organised by UTSEUS were successively held in March. These video-conferences provided support to the students and sent them a message of sympathy.
The first of these two meetings took place on March 08, 2020, in which hundreds of Chinese students from the 3 Universities of Technology and Polytech Nice Sofia were able to participate. This video-conference marked out the solidarity of the UTSEUS students living in France, and was the occasion to show them total support from Shanghai. The exchanges between the Chinese students and the participating UTSEUS managers, focused on prevention measures, daily life and continuity of schooling during the epidemic, and more particularly, gave them advice to ensure their psychological health in conditions of isolation, especially when they are far away from their families.
In compliance with the health recommendations issued by the authorities, this video-conference enabled UTSEUS to stay as close as possible to its students, while waiting for the return to their usual study conditions as soon as possible.
